IStar Pulsar + Data Processing

Curious, what are some of the reasons for a file to come out with an error after processing?
what are some of the reasons that could cause a .txt file to come out empty?

Hi Hannah, thanks for posting.  Best for me to answer these in reverse order:

What are some of the reasons that could cause a .txt file to come out empty?

That's pretty rare, it'd mean either that there was an issue in writing the data to the Pulsar internal SSD, OR that there was an issue when you copied it from Pulsar to your external drive - most likely the latter, as Pulsar should detect an issue with the capture if it occurred during capture and initial writing to disk.

Initial things to check would be that you're using the current version of firmware (v2.6), that your external drive is suitable (in addition to the linked article, it should also be self powered via the USB connection, not one that requires mains power), and then try recopying the data to external drive to see if the info.txt file copies correctly.

...what are some of the reasons for a file to come out with an error after processing?

In your case it'll be the info.txt being blank (or corrupt), that file is necessary to process data.  Unfortunately it can't be replicated, and it may be that this isn't the root cause (data corruption in either stage of saving, as in your .onctd and .onctv files could also be corrupt or missing data).

Try running through the steps I've suggested above - I note that you have an open Support Ticket with us where my colleague has suggested the same, best to feed back to us in that rather than on the community.
