iSTAR gets warm during use - is this normal?

Yes, the unit will get quite warm with use, especially if you are using it to capture multiple exposure HDR images. There are some settings to control screen timeout and auto shutdown but we recommend even with minimum settings enabled you power off the unit when you know you will not be using the unit for a period of time between shots.
