To check if you have a calibration file installed on your unit:
- Start iSTAR
- From the Home Screen, select OPTIONS - INFORMATION (small "i" icon bottom right)
- If a calibration file is present, you will see the serial number listed at the top of the screen. This will be above the firmware version number.
How do you copy the calibration file from the unit to a laptop or PC?
You can't. The calibration file can be uploaded to a unit by copying it to an SD card and inserting the SD card into the unit. But there's no reverse download procedure.
How do I know I have got the correct calibration file loaded as there is no indication of the file uploading process nor a specific calibration file name since different version of Imerssive Studio requires different calibration file?
The process of adding a calibration file happens very quickly as the file itself is very small so it's unlikely you will ever see the upload "progress". Here's how to check if you have a calibration file installed:
The other way to check if you have the new type of calibration file installed, take a single exposure image with your unit and look in the data folder that was just created on the SD card. If you see a ".yml" file with the serial number of your unit then you have the latest type of calibration file installed.
I have the Serial Number NCT-XXXXX before and after my attempt to upload the latest file but there is no .yml in the iSTAR folder created. They only .yml file was the one I copied into the main directory of the SD card for uploading.
