The Settings section allows you to set specific settings, upload a logo, calibrate the compass and reset back to the default settings.
Select the Settings Icon
Resolution
This setting lets you set the resolution of the panorama. The default resolution is 8K.
There are 4 resolutions: 8K x 4K, 5.6K x 2.8K, 4K x 2K and 2K x 1K. The default setting is 8K x 4K.
To set a desired resolution:
- Select the drop down option
- Choose the desired resolution
- Click Done
The selected resolution will now be displayed in the drop down option.
This does not have any effect when the Save Files setting is set to RAW Only, as RAW Only files are always captured at the maximum resolution of 8K.
Save Files
This setting allows you to choose what type(s) of file you want to save. The default is RAW and Stitched JPEG.
There are three types of file you can save: Stitched JPEG only, RAW and Stitched JPEG and RAW only. The default setting is RAW and Stitched JPEG.
To set a desired file type:
- Select the drop down option
- Choose the desired file type
- Click Done
The selected file type will now be displayed in the drop down option.
The RAW file format is an NCTech proprietary 8bit RAW file. It has an ".nctri" file extension and can only be used by specific applications that support this file type. It is not a generic RAW file that can be imported into a Photo editing application such as Adobe Photoshop for post processing.
Show Capture Preview
This setting allows you to choose if you wish to see a capture preview after capture has completed or not.
To set the desired option:
- Select the drop down option
- Choose the desired option
- Click Done
The selected option now be displayed in the drop down list.
Add Mirror Ball
This setting allows you to choose if you wish to patch the nadir with a mirror ball.
To set the desired option:
- Select the drop down option
- Choose the desired option
- Click Done
The selected option will now be displayed in the drop down list.
Add Logo
This setting allows you to choose if you wish to patch the nadir with a logo.
You may use this in conjunction with a mirrorball.
To set the desired option:
- Select the drop down option
- Choose the desired option
- Click Done
The selected option will now be displayed in the drop down list.
Sound
This setting allows you to choose if you wish your iris360 to make a sound or not.
To set the desired option:
- Select the drop down option
- Choose the desired option
- Click Done
The selected option will now be displayed in the drop down list.
Sound Volume
This setting allows you to set the sound volume.
There are 3 volume settings: Low, Medium, Full. The default setting is Medium
To set the desired option:
- Select the drop down option
- Choose the desired option
- Click Done
The selected option will now be displayed in the drop down list.
Auto Power Off
This setting allows you to choose when your iris360 will power off after a period of inactivity.
There are 5 settings: 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, Never. The default setting is 5 minutes
To set the desired option:
- Select the drop down option
- Choose the desired option
- Click Done
The selected option will now be displayed in the drop down list.
External GPS
This setting allows you to choose when your iris360 will use it's internal GPS only or will augment via the GPS position of the device connected to the camera.
There are 2 settings: Off and On
To set the desired option:
- Select the drop down option
- Choose the desired option
- Click Done
The selected option will now be displayed in the drop down list and the GPS lock on the Settings Bar will show Amber to indicate assisted GPS lock is active.
Upload Logo
This setting allows you to upload a logo to be used with the Add Logo option.
To upload a logo:
- Select the Upload Logo button
- Follow the prompts to choose and upload your logo
- Click Upload
Your logo will now appear in the stitched image as long as you set the option Add Logo to On
Date and Time
This setting allows you to set the date and time on the camera. Every image captured has a unique file name based on the date and time of capture.
To set the date and time:
- Select the Set Date and Time button
- Follow the prompts to enter the date and time (the current date and time will be automatically displayed)
- Click Set
The camera will now apply the date and time to every image captured.
Compass
This setting allows you to calibrate the compass.
To calibrate the compass:
- Select the Calibrate Compass button
- Click Calibrate
- Follow the prompts to calibrate the compass
The compass will now be calibrated.
Tilt
This setting allows you to calibrate the Tilt/Roll sensor.
To calibrate the Tilt:
- Select the Calibrate Tilt button
- Click Calibrate
- Follow the prompts to calibrate the Tilt
The Tilt/Roll sensor will now be calibrated.
WiFi Password
This setting allows you to choose a new wifi password.
Note: Camera WiFi requires WPA2-PSK protection. WPA2-PSK requires passwords that are at least 8 characters long. Password can contain letters, numbers, and symbols, but no spaces.
To change the wifi password:
- Select the Change WiFi Password button
- Enter the new password
- Click Change
The new wifi password will now be set.
Firmware
This setting allows you to update the camera's firmware.
The firmware on your iris360™ can be upgraded from a microSD Card via a downloaded firmware update file. Updates will include improvements to the UI and operational functions and new features.
Updates will be posted on the Support Portal and you will receive notification via email as long as you have subscribed to the relevant Product News and Updates section. The Support Portal will detail the latest release specifications and a release schedule for future releases.
To update the firmware:
- Insert a microSD card containing the firmware update into the unit (ensure the update file is on the ROOT of the card)
- Select the Firmware Update button
- Click Update
- Follow the prompts to update the firmware
The firmware will be updated and the unit will then auto power off.
Calibration
This setting allows you to update the calibration file on the unit.
The calibration file on your iris360™ can be upgraded from a microSD Card via a downloaded calibration file. You will only be required to update the calibration file if instructed to do so by NCTech Support.
To update the calibration file:
- Select the Calibration Update button
- Follow the onscreen instructions
- Press Update
The calibration file will be updated on the camera.
Default Settings
This setting allows you to restore all settings back to their default values.
To restore the default settings:
- Select the Default Settings Restore button
- Click Reset
The default settings will now be restored.
