My experience with Immersive Studio keeps getting worse. Norton Anti-Virus reports Imersive Studio 8.1 and 8.0 should not be installed on my workstation. It was working on my windows 8 and now it they're monitoring reports issue's and removes the extracted zip immediately.

Full disclosure. I originally installed I.S. 8.1 on a netbook running windows 8. It worked a few times then quit after a few days. The netbook met the Minimal configuration for I.S. My second install on a higher end workstation and I.S. also quit. https://nctech.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/4365 Evenually I.S. worked on that workstation (for today) after quitting a few times. I installed on another portable laptop @ my office whose specs exceeded min req. and the app is still functioning properly on that device. 4 machines with 3 having issue. I don't run Norton 360 on the 3 office computers mentioned above but todays install problem with Norton 360 happened while trying to install I.S. 8.1 on my home office desktop computer running windows 7 home edition. Andrew stated I.S. won't work on an I3 proccessor but the website states otherwise. Unfortunately I need immersive studio to work stable if I want to save time shooting onsite. I had envisioned the netbook possessing outputs while I continued shooting multi-node sessions onsite. The other laptop is cumbersome so I need this to work correctly. Is it possible the software need a rewrite?
Can you point to where we are stating that you can use a Core i3 please? That is certainly not the case so I'd like to amend that straight away as the MINIMUM configuration is a Core i5 with a Core i7 recommended.
There's certainly something strange happening when you are trying to install Immersive Studio with Norton Antivirus running in the background.

This is the latest version of Norton 360. The issue doesn't seem to be getting I.S. to install. I rather not run software that a exposes a device to security breach. The base code seems to be written to run on Windows 2000. It' seems to be legacy 32 bit software. Nortons highlight there are DLL exposure to security breach. On 4 machines it seems a bit flakey. I have purchased the camera. Beyond the camera internal stitching option I'm sequestered to a single software solution. I'm sure these warnings wouldn't surface when this software is written from the ground up to run on 64 bit architecture. Macbook support would be nice too.
It's very helpful to see the minimum specification updated on the Immersive Studio webpage. I still chose a portable laptop to run I.S. alongside my Iris360 purchase that is now useless in the field.
I'm sorry you appear to still be having issues while trying to install and run Immersive Studio with your version of Norton Anti-Virus.

I do however have to respond to some of your comments regarding the code for Immersive Studio which I'm afraid is technically inaccurate.
Here's some information regarding Immersive Studio which I hope you will find useful in your understanding of how the application is coded and compiled:
iStudio GUI is written in C# and uses .net technology, so it would run on any platform that uses .net technology (.net 4.5). This technology is available for some older versions of windows so the GUI could be run on any windows with .net 4.5. As the .net uses virtual machine to run, it can be run on a 32 bit or 64 bit system.
iStudio backend is written in C++ and compiled for 64 bit windows platform using Visual Studio. As the same code is running on camera, it don't use any windows specific features. The backend doesn't run on any 32 bit platform and need a 64 bit processor and 64 bit OS.
Older versions of iStudio were written for 32 bit windows and used windows specific features. Those versions of iStudio work only with iSTAR images and doesn't support our new technologies such as depth correction stitching and or our new very accurate calibration techniques.
As usual you are a groundswell of information for a company busy expanding it's product line. Thank you for the app clarification. I have it working for now on some of my devices. I'll use it where security holes in netframework won't affect core software for the time being.
Norton Security and Symantec Endpoint are widely distributed security solutions for home and business. I'm not privy to credentialing software functionality but since my Norton360 updates automatically the latest version has throw a shoe with Immersive Studio 8.1. Some may choose to force an install. Instead of disabling Norton to accept the install I'd feel comfortable knowing NCTech used the white listing link from the output file (in the removal section) that urged software developers to submit a reputation building strategy application to become Trusted.
