Overheat Issue - Iris360

Hey everyone.

I just did a Google Shoot today at a Car dealership. The setting for the camera are:

Exposure: Auto
Shutter: Auto
HDR+
ISO - Between 200 & 400

It is happening almost on the clock, after 8-10 shots, the unit will be 'stuck' on magenta and I would need to do a power off with the 'hard switch'. This occur almost 4 times during the shoot. (A total of 45 Photo was taken)

The other instance, is when I finished my photo-shoot (after 45 shots) the iris360 LED signals turned 'Red' and basically the I just shut down the unit and took out the battery for it to cool down for about 1 hour and then the unit could boot up again no problem.

It is my first time that I have vigorously used the unit, my previous projects where under 10-shots. So I am suspecting there is a over-heat issue with the unit.

Any thoughts and inputs are welcome! Cheers!

We believe we have resolved this in the next firmware update which we will be releasing soon.

There's a number of conditions which could cause this to happen:

  1. SD Card because full during capture
  2. This happened after a re-boot following an incorrect shut down sequence
  3. Possible heat issue if the images were taken sequentially with very little time break between shots

If you'd like us to investigate further, please raise a Support Ticket via the Support Portal. Include on the ticket the contents of the "logs" folder from the SD card as that will tell us what was happening when the LED's turned RED.
