Wow I feel a bit thick. Turns out you hit enter on a smart phone and it posts automatically even in the subject field.
Anyway, just got a new camera back after mine was serviced, and everything seems fine mechanically with it. I am happy with the service and I have to say the new model feels a bit nicer in the hand, plus the SD card tray was a direly needed quality of life improvement. But I have a sneaking suspicion that I am not shooting to the camera's potential.
I would consider myself savvy with cameras since I spent the bulk of my uni years studying media production, but for the life of me I cannot get an image that significantly beats out the original Ricoh Theta that I've had sat in my desk drawer for months. I've played with the settings and always get a pixelated, muddy, and washed out image with white balance issues (that is to say they always feel a bit cold or blue). I'm also getting some wicked bloom and lens flares on light sources.
I'd hate to shelve the camera as a waste of time especially since it is so much easier than my DSLR set up, anyone have any ideas?
